Hello, I'm a working mom so it takes a lil waiting to update my blog.
Many people tend to underrate motherhood. As my asawa says,
"The difficulty of motherhood is as profound as the meaning of love."!

1st Rotavirus Dosekay.
It's been a month since my last post. We have a new nanny because Yaya Neneng decided to get married. I've been very busy juggling work, taking care of Ximo and with house chores.
Today we came from the doctor. Ximo had his first shot of rotarix and my asawa (spouse) tells me that the rotavirus is a scary disease without prevention.
Honestly I really don't care about the expenses on the vaccines. Sometimes I think about coping with the finances but... all I really care about now is that our son accomplishes the much-suggested vaccines including what some parents shy away from getting for their kids because of the costs that burn a hole in their pockets.
I reckon it's a matter of budgetting or scheduling expenses on our part.
Our top priority are his vaccines. His christening comes second, which, by the way, we still haven't set a date for.
Let me tell you about Ximo's nanny. Her name is Ruby. She has a good disposition. What I like about her is that Ruby is opinionated. She speaks out her mind, unlike other nannies that just nod their heads and say, "Yes, Ate (big sister)." Ruby says outright when she doesn't understand my instructions. I appreciate that. Very much.
Right now she is too careful to do things ahead of what I say. She waits to be told. This is understandable considering she's been with Ximo for only about a week. I expect her to change this once she gets the routine.
Our Ximo is fast becoming more of a little person each day. There are noticeable subtle developments like no more blank stares. He gradually recognizes his name when called out. He socializes, converses, talks back and initiates conversations. The pedia asked if he can roll over. I said that there's no opportunity for him because he often prefers lying on his back, altho he will raise his upper body from time to time. This surprised the pedia because he said that this baby milestone is seen at 5 months. Ximo is turning 3 next month. So the pedia suggested to integrate tummy time to test if Ximo will atempt to roll on his own.
The pedia also cautioned us on his weight. He's now 5.9 kg, a whooping 1.2 kg more since his last visit!
Here's a short video of Ximo socializing with us. The video was taken by my asawa. Enjoy!
